Luis De Jesus Los Angeles is pleased to exhibit the solo presentation of Aaron Maier-Carretero: “a lobster named dinner” — a continuation of the artist’s deep dive into childhood memories surrounded by his Bolivian and Jewish-American family... and his pet lobster named, “dinner.” In this series of paintings, Maier-Carretero leads us through different domestic spaces and familial scenes which function as the primary mise-en-scène for these memories of home, used to amplify character emotions and express moods in vibrant tableaus.
